Advocating for Agriculture Considering Proposed U.S. Tariffs
Alberta agriculture associations wrote a letter to Premier Danielle Smith emphasizing the vital role agriculture plays in Alberta’s economy and the challenges posed by the anticipated tariffs from President-elect Donald Trump. The Government of Alberta and the Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation, RJ Sigurdson, responded stating their shared concerns.
Alberta’s government is committed to the growth of agriculture in our province, including the beef sector. We are working hard to ensure our producers and processors continue to have open and predictable access to international trade.
